Maecy Ashmore
Apprentice
Maecy Ashmore is a Fort Worth based dancer, teacher, and artist. Originally from Chicago, Maecy began her dance training at State Street Dance Studio in the suburbs, where she performed various principal roles such as Clara, Dew Drop, and Snow Queen in the Fox Valley Nutcracker under the direction of Ashlie Andersen. Later, Ashmore studied at the Joffrey Ballet and A&A Ballet before attending Interlochen Arts Academy where she trained under Joseph Morrissey. Some of her favorite productions were The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, with notable roles being Bluebird, Confidence Fairy, and Tea Soloist. She recently completed her BFA in ballet at Texas Christian University (while also studying in studio art and economics) where she performed in many contemporary works, excerpts from Swan Lake, Giselle, other classical repertoire, and choreographed. Outside of performing, Maecy currently teaches at Texas Ballet Theater School and is the Co-Coordinator of Community Outreach at Ballet North Texas. Maecy is currently an apprentice at Ballet North Texas, where she has so far performed in several contemporary works as well as in various roles in The Nutcracker, Concerto Barrocco, Cinderella, and Don Quixote to name a few. She is looking forward to her third season with BNT!
