Anna Anders
Trainee
Anna Anders, originally from Fort Smith, AR, began her dance training at Western Arkansas Ballet at the age of six and danced with their pre-professional company from 2014 through 2021. During her time with WAB, she performed lead roles, including “Snow Queen,” “Dew Drop,” and “Arabian Pas de Deux” in The Nutcracker, “Fairy of Spring” in Cinderella, along with the titular role of “Alice” in Alice in Wonderland. As a company member with Western Arkansas Ballet, she had the opportunity to perform at Regional Dance America Festivals across the nation. In the summers, Anna trained at Burklyn Ballet Theatre in Johnson, VT, working with a variety of master teachers and performing soloist roles of “Giselle” in Giselle, “Cupid/Amour” from Don Quixote, the “1st Shade Variation” from La Bayadère, and “Fairy of Wit” from The Sleeping Beauty. During her time in the School for Classical & Contemporary Dance, she performed notable roles of “Cygnets” in Swan Lake, staged by Keith and Kellye Saunders, new works by Sidra Bell, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Kelly Ashton Todd, Suzanne Haag, and as a featured soloist in Senior Choreography and Capstone concerts. Anna is the recipient of both artistic and academic scholarships, including the TCU Fine Arts Academic Achievement award, the College of Fine Arts Academic & Creative Excellence Award, and graduated summa cum laude. Anna danced with the former Canyon Concert Ballet in Fort Collins, CO, and is excited to now be joining Ballet North Texas for the 2026-2027 season!
