LYDIA FUHRMANN

BNT TRAINEE
Originally from Clearwater, Florida, Lydia began her training with Tampa Bay Ballet at age 4. In 2018, she joined Patel Conservatory, and in 2019, she was invited into Next Generation Ballet’s trainee program under Philip Neal and Ivonne Lemus. While at NGB, Lydia performed in many classical ballets and contemporary works. Her most memorable roles include Clara and Shepherdess in The Nutcracker, Cupid and the 1st Bridesmaid in Don Quixote, Little Red Riding Hood in Sleeping Beauty, and Four Swans in Swan Lake.
In 2023, Lydia joined the trainee program at Oklahoma City Ballet. There, she had the opportunity to choreograph a neoclassical pas de deux as part of the Bridge Choreography Initiative. She created her first piece in 2022 during her time at Chautauqua Institution's summer intensive. Lydia has also attended summer programs with Miami City Ballet, Charlotte Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and The Florida Ballet.
In 2024, Lydia joined Ballet North Texas as a trainee and is very grateful and excited to return for the 2025-2026 season.
