BNT TRAINEE 

Diana Basaldua is from Houston, Texas and has been dancing for twenty years. Diana first studied ballet at Ballet Center of Houston, where she also performed with their pre-professional company Houston Repertoire Ballet, under artistic director Victoria Vittum. She enjoyed dancing the roles of Snow Queen and Dew Drop Fairy in the company’s annual The Nutcracker. She also performed in ballets such as Giselle and Swan Lake, as well as various contemporary works. Diana’s training includes summer intensives with Joffrey Ballet- Texas, Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Texas Ballet Theatre, The Rock School of Dance, and Bolshoi Ballet Academy. After high school, she attended Butler University where she graduated with a BFA in Dance- Performance and attained minors in Biology and Chemistry. At Butler, she performed in The Nutcracker, Giselle, Swan Lake, and Cinderella. Her favorite role to perform here was the lead in Flower Festival in Genzano in Butler Ballet’s Midwinter Dances. After college, Diana joined Ballet North Texas as a trainee, where she currently enjoys dancing. When she is not dancing, she likes to read, walk her dog, and try out new coffee shops. Diana is looking forward to the upcoming season!
