ALAYNA WONG

Alayna Wong is from Santa Ana, California. She trained at Huntington Academy of Dance in California and International Ballet Academy in Washington state, and attended summer programs with American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Austin, and Oklahoma City Ballet. She was also a trainee with Oklahoma City Ballet under Robert Mills for their 2018/19 season, where she performed in Mills' The Nutcracker and Septime Webre's ALICE (in wonderland).
In 2023, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Dance - Ballet Pedagogy. With the OU School of Dance, her performance highlights included George Balanchine’s Serenade, Jirí Kylián’s Falling Angels, Penny Saunders’ Deux Amours, Gerald Arpino’s Viva Vivaldi, and Yury Yanowsky's Train of Thought. In 2022 she toured with OU to perform at the International Contemporary Dance Festival of Mexico City, and was also the selected student to represent Moscelyne Larkin in that year's Five Moons Dance Festival.
Alayna joined Ballet North Texas in 2023. Her performance highlights include Dew Drop and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Cupid in Don Quixote, Canary Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, George Balanchine’s Valse Fantaisie, and Penny Saunders’ Sur le Fil; she also originated soloist roles in original works by Gabriel Speiller, Carrie Ruth Trumbo, Mackenzie Jones, Sam Jones, and McKinley Willis. Other recent performance credits include Dallas Indie Dance Fest, SEEDS Dance Concert, New Narratives Contemporary Ballet, House of DIFFA: Dreamstate, Hot Springs Children's Dance Theatre Company, and Central Oklahoma Ballet Theatre.
Alayna is grateful to return for her third season with Ballet North Texas.
