Natalie Anton started dancing at the age of 10 under the direction of Kaye Lewis, continuing her training with Svetlana Sanova and Nikolai Semikov, in the Vaganova technique and Balanchine style. She attended summer programs at BYU and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. Natalie has guest performed with the Midwest Regional Ballet in Joplin, MO, The Oaks Ballet in Lake Dallas, Collin County Ballet Theatre, and Mejia Ballet. She enjoyed an apprenticeship with Ballet Arlington, then danced at the University of North Texas, where she studied modern dance and trained in ballet under Arleen Sugano. After UNT, Natalie joined Metropolitan Classical Ballet, directed by Paul Mejia and Alexander Vetrov. There she performed in such ballets as Paganini, Walpurgis Night, La Bayadere, Raymonda, Marketenka, as well as Balanchine ballets including Four Temperaments, Square Dance, Who Cares?, and Firebird, as well as several original works. She danced with Avant Chamber Ballet from its inaugural season, and has performed in several world premier ballets by Katie Cooper, Emily Hunter, Janie Richards, Kimi Nikaidoh, and others, as well as works by Balanchine and Paul Mejia. Natalie is a founding member of Ballet North Texas. She is grateful to be a part of BNT and the opportunities it has presented her. She has enjoyed dancing in several premiers and roles with the company, including that of the Sugar Plum Fairy, as well as in new choreographic works. Natalie is looking forward to her final season and is excited for the next step in her career.
